We the People Bookshelf
We the People Bookshelf, donated to us during the 2004-05 school year, is a collection of 19 books on the theme of “Freedom”. 15 titles in English and 4 of the titles in Spanish.

 

This program, presented by the National Endowment for the Humanities in cooperation with the American Library Association, encourages young people to read and understand great literature while exploring themes in American history.

 

 

These all have the same call #’s --“We the People”, and are on a special bookshelf held up with the beautiful, granite bookends  engraved with the words--“It only takes a spark”. These were also donated to our school library from Terri Spors and her sister Betty Reinke who are in charge of a cancer walk that our school participates in each spring.
